Administrative Programs Officer, Level I - E12A
Annual salary: $41,019.00 + Full state benefits
Job-related travel is Occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of professional or technical administrative* experience in business or public administration;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one (1) year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
NOTE: Technical administrative experience would include highly complex clerical work gained under the direct supervision of a professional supervisor or manager.
Job Responsibilities
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities for providing administrative support for program areas and support functions, or serving as an assistant to, or providing administrative support to an administrator or an official. This position will be responsible for supervising administrative staff that receive and triage inbound calls for AFS Virtual Eligibility Center supporting Comprehensive, Long-Term Care, and TANF eligibility staff and EBT requests/inquiries.Typical Functions:
- Train new staff and conduct continuous training for staff on program and process changes.
- Monitor and support administrative staff ensuring world class customer service is being demonstrated.
- Initiates correspondence requiring knowledge of agency or program procedures and policies.
- Interprets and advises internal and external customers on departmental or program rules, regulations, and laws.
- May supervise subordinate staff.
- Represents agency, supervising official, or program area at meetings, conferences, or civic organizations.
- May establish educational and/or training programs.
- Enters and retrieves information using Personal Computer or other data processing equipment and receives and reviews coded and uncoded source documents; reviews data and makes routine corrections.
