Nursing Manager III - Y13C
Annual Salary: $76,589.43 + plus full state benefits
Travel is Extensive - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and four years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity PLUS one additional year of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or program;
- Or a bachelor’s degree in nursing and three years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity PLUS one additional year of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or program;
- Or a master’s degree and two years of professional nursing experience in a supervisory capacity PLUS one additional year of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or program.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates the process of identifying and procuring existing generic health-related service providers to meet identified health service needs, and when none are available, coordinates development of other resources.
- Trains staff and DDS contractors on DDS policy, procedures, directives, and best practices. Provides retraining when there is evidence that staff are not using policy, procedure, or following directives.
- Assigns work and manages DDS nurse case load assignments to maximize efficiency of staff resources. Shifts assignments with changes in resources or as needs emerge, as outlined in State or Area directives.
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate health services data to produce monthly reports and follow up on cases with ongoing health issues.
- Resolves complex problems through case staffing, working with liaisons of other divisions, and working with contract providers.
- Effectively manages assigned personnel resources to achieve responsive customer service and maintains compliance with policy, procedures and directives.
- Monitors the use of state travel funds and the use of state vehicles to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Reviews health acuity assessments and Nursing Service Support Plans completed by HCMN II and HCMN III and provides technical assistance as deemed appropriate.
- Monitors program quality and policy implementation through review of reports, site visits, and case staffing.
- Develop and implement internal work practices to improve quality of services
- Assists teams and RN staff with transition activity, emergency situations and medical supplies.
- Provide oversight to RN staff to ensure completion and submission of Area Mortality Review Initial Reports.
