Child Welfare Specialist II/III - FMC Facilitator - OKDHS Only

Child Welfare Specialist II H23B Annual Salary: $40,077.79 + Full State Employee Benefits
Child Welfare Specialist III H23C Annual Salary: $43,968.62 + Full State Employee Benefits
Shift-diff pay is paid after standard hours.
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
Travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
Child Welfare Specialist, Level II
- A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify;
- OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Child Welfare Specialist, Level III
- A Master's degree;
- OR a Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist;
- OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
Position serves as a Family Meeting Continuum (FMC) Facilitator partnering with families in a manner that honors and respects the specific dynamics of the family unit to lead to more effective interventions with families and increase child safety outcomes.
Conducts Child Safety Meetings (CSM) to guide the decision-making process for determining the child’s safety needs and the best intervention strategy during the Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation process.
Identifies and supports the family's natural network of relatives and significant others to participate in safety planning and as placement resources, when necessary.
Develops specific individualized interventions that permit the child to remain safely in the least-intrusive, least-restrictive environment. Explores alternative safety interventions as a contingency plan.
