Social Services Inspector -Temporary
This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Social Services Inspector III - H22C
Hourly Pay: $23.25 per hour
This is a temporary position with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Days worked will be Monday through Friday.
Travel is occasional. Must posses a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Basic purpose
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibility for conducting internal and external audits and field investigations and performing federally or state mandated quality control audits to evaluate the effectiveness of agency programs. Some positions will perform follow-up reviews and advocate for clients and program changes. Duties include investigating welfare fraud and employee violations of agency policy, regulations and applicable state and federal laws. Some positions in this job family will conduct investigations and inquiries to protect the rights of clients, act as client advocate and file grievances on behalf of clients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree and four years of professional experience in investigation, auditing, social work, juvenile justice, personnel administration, law enforcement, child support enforcement, or working with person with intellectual disabilities;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities
- The Social Service Inspector III investigates complaints of abuse, neglect and exploitation of persons 18 years of age and older residing in long-term care facilities in the State of Oklahoma including more difficult cases which can be high profile and provides service planning.
- The SSI III also serves as mentor & coach for new Social Service Specialists staff & assists them in completing training exercises.
- The SSI III will prepare case reports and submit to DA.
*Preference may be given to applicants who possess APS or LTC Investigative experience.
