Adult Protective Services Specialist IV - H26D
Annual Salary: $51,690.62 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is extensive. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Hours worked may be on-call. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requirements consist of a master’s degree and two years of experience in professional social work
- OR a Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in professional social work
Job Responsibilities
- The APSSIV reviews all APS casework for quality and approves field work completed by the APS Specialist, conducts monthly unit & individual meetings with staff, case staffing with appropriate staff, DHS Office of General Council, the District Attorney, and community partners as needed.
- The APSSIV approves all time, leave and hours of service for the APS Specialist assigned to the unit. The APSSIV routinely coaches unit staff, identifies strengths and weaknesses, formalizes staff development plans, and completes the HCM-111 process.
- The APSSIV administers performance improvement plans, corrective discipline, and corrective action plans for unit staff.
- The APSSIV reviews, assigns, and monitors unit caseloads including reviewing new referrals/reports, assigning referrals/reports to appropriate staff, and monitoring the completion of all assignments within the scope of APS policy and State Statute.
- The APSSIV mentors and assigns field mentors to new APS staff, assists new staff in the completion of all Pre Academy Work, and ensures new staff are enrolled and ready to participate in APS New Worker Academy.
- The APSSIV interprets policy, procedures, and instruction to staff for unit APS staff.
- The APSSIV communicates with District Director, Division APO, Division PFRs, and Division.
