Child Welfare Specialist IV - H23D
Annual Salary: $52,217.89 + Full State Employee Benefits
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree plus one year of experience in professional social work in child welfare programs.
- OR a Bachelors Degree plus two years experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
- *Assigned to the Qualified Residential Treatment Programs (QRTP) Unit, which are community-based treatment programs for children who require out-of-home care along with therapy and specialized services - including those children who are emotionally and behaviorally disturbed, developmentally disabled, and medically disabled.
*Identifies needs of residents assigned to contracted QRTPs; provides services to the QRTP residents as specified by the treatment plan; focus on transition planning and trauma responsive care.
*Ensures the safety and quality of care for OKDHS custody children placed in contracted residential facilities.
* Reviews treatment plans and files for each youth placed in the QRTP to ensure compliance with the QRTP contract.
*Conducts on-site visits to the facilities, maintains contact with administration, along with members of the Office of Client Advocacy & Oklahoma Child Care Licensing.
