H11A AFS Annual Salary $52,642.81 + Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.   
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention, and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;
  • OR an equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

*Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all aspects of the School Nutrition Programs’ Administrative and Procurement Reviews as required by the USDA Food and Nutrition Administration. Programs include National School Lunch Program, School breakfast Program, Special Milk Program, and After School Snack Program.   

  • Plans, organizes, and carries out all aspects of the Administrative Review (AR) and Procurement Review (PR) Process for private nonprofit schools and Residential Child Care Institutions (RCCI) participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). These reviews insure proper interpretation and uniform application of NSLP and State of Okla policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. 

  • Plans, organizes, facilitates and conducts annual in-person state agency training sessions for private nonprofit schools and RCCIs. Training responsibilities for the position also include planning, preparing, and conducting virtual training sessions throughout the school year over a variety of Program related topics totaling at least 18 training hours per year. Maintains training resources and updates the OKDHS School Nutrition Programs Compliance Handbook. 

  • Provides Technical Assistance (TA) to program participants via video conferencing, email, telephone, or onsite visits when requested. Develops all TA and training material, updates policies and any other material deemed informational for School Nutrition Programs.

  • Assists with development of compliance documents, reports, policies, and internal procedures. Participate in meetings and development projects that benefit the unit, streamline processes, and improve systems and technology.

  • Works with new SFAs, applying to begin school meals programs, to achieve Certification of Compliance with Meal Patterns. SFAs applying to receive reimbursement for school meals must be certified within 60 days of submitting a complete set of required certification documents.  Reviews documentation for compliance, provides TA as needed to meet compliance standards and reports on the outcomes.
