Annual Salary: $52,217.89 + Full State Employee Benefits
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree plus one year of experience in professional social work in child welfare programs.
- OR a Bachelors Degree plus two years experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
This is the specialist level where employees are designated as lead workers or backup supervisors to Level I, II, III Child Welfare Specialists, carry complex and difficult caseloads, or are assigned responsibilities involving case consultation.
*Assigned to the Residential and Placement Services of Child Welfare Specialized Placements, which is a community-based alternative placement for children who require out-of-home care along with therapy and specialized services - including children who are emotionally and behaviorally disturbed, developmentally disabled, and medically disabled.
*Identifies needs of residents assigned to Qualified Residential Treatment Programs (QRTP) that partner with DHS; provides services to the residents as specified by the treatment plan; focuses on transition planning and trauma responsive care.
*Ensures the safety and quality of care for OKDHS custody children placed in QRTP.
*Conducts on-site visits to the facilities, maintains contact with administration, along with members of the Office of Client Advocacy & Oklahoma Child Care Licensing.
*Serves as a liaison between the Ending the Need for Group Placement steering committee and the ENGP implementation teams providing support and guidance to each implementation site.
