Annual salary: $74,387.15 + Full state benefits
Travel is Extensive - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
GENERAL FUNCTION
Under administrative direction, assists in planning, organizing and directing a program, unit, facility, or statewide geographical area that provides direct or indirect health services. This includes responsibilities for broad management of issues in planning, organizing and integrating various functions for which responsibility is assigned and directing assigned staff in meeting the goals and objectives of the program.
Positions at this level will only be found in programs or divisions large in size, scope and complexity which have a major impact on the operations of a large agency involved in the delivery of social services of health programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements consist five (5) years of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or five (5) years providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or program.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents must possess and maintain a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides management & oversight of long term care medical eligibility determinations for ADvantage, SPPC and nursing home care, including supervision of Health Care Management Nurses in an assigned geographic area.
- Also responsible for management & oversight of the Redetermination Unit team and State Plan Personal Care Unit team.
- Monitors and remediates ADvantage waiver performance measures related to program eligibility and develops policies & procedures for the long-term care service delivery system.
- Ensures daily operational functions are processed within regulations and timeliness while meeting quality performances standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques and philosophy and objectives of the nursing department.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations and comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of the various programs being administered.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective supervision.
- Ability to direct, motivate and evaluate staff; in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with state officials, employees, and the public; in oral and written communications of all types; and in interpreting, analyzing, and resolving highly complex administrative and personnel problems.
- Skill in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of multiple work units and divisions engaged in a broad range of functions; to plan and implement programs; to develop controls to monitor the effectiveness of programs.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 15 lbs for transporting computer.
