Child Welfare Specialist IV - H23D
Annual Salary: $52,217.89 + Full State Employee Benefits
Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.
On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree plus one year of experience in professional social work in child welfare programs.
- OR a Bachelor's Degree plus two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
- OR Three years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as a Trainer and Mentor to support and guide new Child Welfare Specialists during their first year of training.
- Assists in coaching and mentoring of new staff as well as conducting training for tenured staff. Also provides opportunities for staff to gain foundational learning for all Pre-CORE and CORE OJT activities throughout their training program.
- Collaborates with mentors in the field on the progress and or struggles new workers are having with case load management.
- Assists with developing a support plan approved by training supervisors to assist the worker with any struggles they may be experiencing.
