Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree and five years of professional experience.
- OR Bachelor’s degree and six years of professional experience.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
Job Duties
*Leadership position that directs and oversees multi-comprehensive Child Welfare Programs, which includes Child Protective Services, Permanency Planning, Family Centered Services, Quality Assurance, OK Successful Adulthood, Tribal, Policy, Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline, and Training.
*Collaborates with Child Welfare leadership, the executive team, and other Deputy Directors; communicating strategies and plans to staff.
*Evaluates the effectiveness of Child Welfare Programs procedures and processes and develops and implements any necessary changes. Evaluates systems used to implement programs and monitors and measures trends regarding key data elements.
*Monitors financial, human, and material resources; evaluates effective utilization of these resources assigned to subordinate staff; ensures compliance with Merit Rules and personnel policies.
*Coordinates preparation of required planning documents and reports; develops, reviews, and recommends amendments to program policy and procedures consistent with federal and state laws pertaining to Child Welfare.
*Serves as agency representative and may be called to testify before legislative committees and to provide legislative briefings; speaks to groups and individuals about the agency’s programs.
