Master's Degree and one year of experience in Child Welfare programs,
OR a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of professional social work plus one year of experience in professional social work in child welfare programs.
This is the specialist level where employees are designated as lead workers or backup supervisors to Level I or Level II Child Welfare Specialists, carry complex and difficult caseloads or are assigned responsibilities involving case consultation.
Serves as a lead worker or backup supervisor to lower-level Child Welfare Specialists carries complex and difficult caseloads, or are assigned responsibilities involving case consultation.
Serves as a team leader in case staff meetings, provides ongoing case consultation, and advises and trains lower-level Child Welfare Specialists in case management and interpretation of policies and procedures.
Monitors investigations and individualized service plans and reviews court reports.
May coordinate the efforts of a placement program with those of other related programs within the agency, with other state agencies, and between other states
Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
