Annual salary: $69,197.34 + Full state benefits

Travel is Extensive - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.

Days worked will be Monday through Friday.


 

Minimum Qualifications

Health Care Management Nurse, Level III - Requirements consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and six (6) years of professional nursing experience, including three (3) years in a managed care or home health care program.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • The position will supervise and train assigned DDS nursing staff, including newly hired nurses in their first year of employment.
  • The position will be responsible for monitoring the case documentation and other assigned tasks required of their assigned nursing staff, as well as ensuring the timeliness and quality of their work.
  • The position will analyze, review, and oversee health care services provided by contracted service providers, ensuring that appropriate health care resources were accessed and the quality of service met established standards.
  • The position will work with other DDS staff to review and analyze data related to emergency room visits, hospitalizations, and any unresolved health events for DDS service recipients.
  • The position will assist with technically complex hospital discharge cases and service recipient transition planning when necessary, as well as problem resolution procedures as defined per DDS policy.
  • The position will assist with management of the federally mandated Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) process that DDS performs as the State Intellectual Disability Authority.
  • The position will coordinate with the Nursing Manger in community outreach projects and resource development activities, and will assist in the development and training of internal and external partners on policies, practices and procedures which may include, but are not limited to: training on contract waiver nursing services; identification of health-related trends in the service population; identifying and implementing service safeguards assuring the delivery of service is compatible with the needs of the individual; evidenced-based best practices for promoting the health of individuals receiving services; assisting service recipients to understand their individual health needs and assessing their ability to seek care when needed; assessing that individuals providing supports to DDS service recipients demonstrate the skills and knowledge requisite to their responsibilities; and ensuring that service recipients are free from abuse, neglect or exploitation.
  • The position may delegate specific duties to HCMN II positions supervised, such as attending Team meetings and other tasks that require the expertise of a Registered Nurse, especially if the nurse receiving the assignment has specific knowledge or training relative to the issues at hand.
