Family Services Specialist III
Annual Salary: H14C $44,272.80 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is None. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience requirements consist of:
- a master’s degree
- or a bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in professional social work
- or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one (1) year of experience in professional social work for each year of the bachelor’s degree
- or three (3) years of experience as a Family Services Specialist
Job Responsibilities
- May be designated as lead workers or backup supervisors to lower-level employees.
- May be responsible for carrying a complex and difficult caseload.
- May be embedded with community partners in order to remove client barriers to access.
- May provide training in caseload principles and practices.
- Will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as agency policy and procedures.
- Assists customers in securing needed information and documents.
- Evaluates the needs of individuals and families in an office setting, via phone, video conference, and/or home visits to obtain information for processing and completing eligibility determinations within established rules and guidelines; and completes necessary case documentation.
- Prepares and disseminates communications relating to AFS programs including agency or program rules, policies, procedures, or requirements.
- Enters and retrieves information into the system; receives and reviews documents including customer verification; proofreads previously entered data and makes routine corrections
