Annual Salary, $41,874.84 + Full State Employee Benefits.
Workdays for this position are: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Hours for this position are: 1:30pm - 12:00am
Shift-diff pay is paid after standard hours.

Travel: OCCASIONAL - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree; or a Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience in professional social work.
Job Responsibilities
- Position serves with the After Hours Response Team (ART) Unit, which completes the Child Protective Services (CPS) investigations Level Priority 1.
- Conducts initial interviews into reports of abuse and neglect. Requests documentation from law enforcement, medical providers, etc. Assesses child safety and recommends appropriate level of intervention.
- Initiates procedures to remove the child from the home; coordinates activities with law enforcement entities and district attorney's office; provides reports to the courts.
- Participates in meetings with Child Safety Meetings (CSM) and other CW programs.
- Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
All new Child Welfare Specialists attend training required by law or outlined in the Pinnacle Plan. They must successfully complete the initial Child Welfare Specialist Academy.
