Annual Salary: $130,273.93 + Full State Employee Benefits
Job-Related travel is EXTENSIVE - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Hours worked may include on-call 24 hours per day/7 days a week.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education and Experience required at this level consists of a bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of professional business or public administration experience, including four (4)years in a supervisory or administrative capacity;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration for each year of the required education.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for the required professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides statewide leadership and strategic direction for Oklahoma’s Community Living, Aging, and Protective Services system, overseeing programs that support older adults, adults with disabilities, and vulnerable populations through protective services, home and community-based services, and aging network initiatives.
- Directs the administration and operational oversight of multiple federal and state programs, including Adult Protective Services, Long-Term Care Investigations, ADvantage Medicaid waiver services, Older Americans Act programs, State Plan Personal Care, caregiver and employment programs, and AIDS Coordination and Information Services.
- Leads statewide systems designed to protect vulnerable adults, ensuring effective investigation of abuse, neglect, and exploitation in both community and long-term care settings while strengthening partnerships with law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
- Advances policies and initiatives that promote community living and reduce institutionalization, coordinating aging and disability services, eligibility systems, and care supports that allow individuals to remain safely in their homes and communities.
- Provides executive oversight of program performance, fiscal stewardship, and operational accountability, managing complex budgets, monitoring contracts and federal funding streams, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with state agencies, legislators, advisory bodies, tribal partners, and community stakeholders to develop policies, legislation, and strategic initiatives addressing aging, caregiving, disability services, and elder justice.
- Leads workforce development, organizational culture, and continuous improvement across the division, strengthening staff capacity, modernizing systems and processes, and implementing data-driven decision-making to improve service delivery and outcomes for Oklahomans.
- Champions and directs implementation of Oklahoma’s multisector strategic plan on aging, the Aging Our Way Plan, mobilizing public, private, and nonprofit partners to advance statewide initiatives, manage strategic projects, and align policy, programs, and resources to support healthy aging and community living.
